WHO

a Brand Intensive is For

This 2-day brand intensive might be the best option for you if:

You need a logo and Look fast – like, yesterday. Whether you need to quickly launch a shop or site, or send a deck to investors stat, you know a well-branded Look can wow, but need it done pronto.

You’re decisive and willing to trust a professional’s experise. With a short 2-day timeline, there’s no leeway for wishy-washy-ness, dilly-dallying, or wavering. My job is to help guide you to the best strategic decision – but you still have to make that decision and stick with it.

You keep your commitments. You’re basically reserving my time for two days. That means you need to show up prepared and ready to work with me. You’ll need to do the assigned pre-work before our 2-day window, and be readily available for feedback and proofs during the process.

You are where the buck stops. You are the head honcho and decision maker. You won’t have to run things by a committee or check with other people who might not have availability on those two days. You make the final decisions.

 

HOW

an Intensive Works

Ok, so how will these two days play out?

When you book and we pick your intensive dates, I’ll send you some pre-work that will need to be completed before those dates. This will be in the form of a questionnaire that you fill out online.

On Day 1, we’ll start that morning with a strategy call to go over everything in the pre-work, make sure we’re on the same page, and start brainstorming ideas and direction.

For the rest of Day 1, I’ll be putting together a moodboard to capture overall visual direction – general ideas for logo style, fonts, colors, and photography style. These are inspiration only, and meant to make sure this direction is the one we want to go with for your branding. We’ll check in about this in the afternoon for your feedback and sign-off.

On Day 2, I’ll take that moodboard inspiration and start building out your actual branding, starting with your logo. This proof will include a main logo, alternate logo and submark, and also show your color palette. I’ll send you these by mid-day for your review, and we can do some tweaks if needed.

Once you sign off on the logo, I’ll put everything together for you in a clear brand guidelines document. This will detail everything we uncovered in your strategy call, the different logo formats and how/where to use them, your full color palette with color codes, your brand fonts and where to download/purchase them, general do’s and don’ts, and recommended styling for photos, illustrations, etc.

Final files will be provided via Google Drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't know what look I want for my business?

No worries! It is my job to create a visual direction and design that will be a perfect fit for your industry, your vibe, and your uniqueness. This is why the pre-work is so important – it gives us all the details we need to establish solid goalposts for where we’re aiming with your brand design.

What is covered in the pre-work?

This is where we will get clear and go deep on the goals and uniqueness of your business. We’ll dive into why you started your business, what you want your business to be, what you want to achieve, who you want to serve, market fit, core values, and more. These are the questions that will give us a clear direction to head in the design process.

What is a logo suite?

Your logo suite includes your main logo, an alternate logo (usually in a different orientation from your main logo), and submark (the standalone symbol or icon you can use for things like avatars). I also make sure you have all the versions you’ll ever need across print, web, full color, one-color, etc. These are neatly labeled, packaged up, and delivered to you.

How many revisions are included?

It really depends on how many we have time for! This process (with the prework and moodboard) is meant to cut down on revisions, because we have a solid idea of visual direction before I sit down to design. But there will certainly be time to tweak things if needed. Making sure you remain readily available for questions and feedback during our two days will help move things along and give us time to revise as needed.

What are brand guidelines?

I wrap up all of the info about your new look into an easy to reference PDF. It covers how to use your new logo (i.e. which style and file type for which situation), your brand colors (including color codes), typography, and recommendations on imagery to complement these.

How will we communicate during these two days?

Our kick-off strategy call will be via Zoom.

For the remainder, we’ll communicate via email and/or Voxer, whichever is your preference.

If somewhere in the process we feel like we need another Zoom call, we can absolutely do that.

What is the payment plan?

A 2-day brand intensive is $3,000 USD.

You may either pay the full amount up front at booking (default), or we can split it into 50% on booking and 50% the morning of Day 1 before work begins.

What if I need to reschedule?

Life happens, I know! If you really can’t make our reserved 2 days, please let me know as soon as you know, and we’ll work to reschedule for the next availability that works for both of us.
